   001:  [Baker, Charles H., editor]   REJECTIONS OF 1927.  Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Doran, 1928. Bound in orange cloth, front and spine panels stamped in black, top edge stained orange, fore-edge untrimmed, bottom edge rough trimmed. 304 pages. First edition. Collects fourteen short stories by Ben Ames Williams, Mary Heaton Vorse, Ruth Cross, J. P. McEvoy, Edgar Hay, Gouverneur Morris, Ferrin Fraser, Cyril Hume, Arthur Schnitzler, Emerson Low, Edwina Stanton Babcock, Mildred Cram, Frances Bragg Middleton, and Seth Clarkson which had been rejected by popular magazines.

   002:  THE GENTLEMAN'S COMPANION.  New York: Derrydale Press, 1939. First edition. A set of two books: (1) Volume I Being An Exotic Cookery Book or, Around the World with Knife, Fork and Spoon and (2) Volume II Being An Exotic Drinking Book or, Around the World with Jigger, Beaker and Flask. 220 and 217 pages. 25 cm. These books are bound in brick red buckram with burgundy fabrikoid spines with gold lettering on the spines. Limited to 1250 copies, numbered by hand. The fore edges of these books are untrimmed. Illustrated by one photo frontispiece in each volume. There is a cardboard slipcase covered by red paper and numbered by hand on the spine to correspond to the books.

   003a:  THE GENTLEMAN'S COMPANION.  New York: Crown Publishers, 1946. Second edition. With an additional one page Foreward to the New Edition. The books are the same as the first edition except that they are bound in red cloth lettered in gold. 25 cm. All edges are trimmed. There is a cardboard slipcase covered in black paper with paste downs similiar to the title page.
   003b:  ----.  New York: Crown Publishers, 1946. Second edition. A variant printing which has a verticle rule in gold on the front covers of the two books. Priority unknown.
   003c:  ----.  New York: Crown Publishers, 1946. Second edition. A second variant printing in which the two books are bound together as one book and bound in red cloth with black titles on the spine. Pagination kept the same as 1-220 and then 1-216. With a dust jacket. Priority unknown.
   003d:  ----.  New York: Crown Publishers, 1946. Second edition. A third printing sold by subscription. The two volumes are each bound in brown leatherette and each volume has the name of the subscriber printed on the front cover in gold. There is a cardboard slipcase covered in ivory colored paper with no printing. Priority unknown.
