The Lion's Paw
This copy is a first printing of the first edition and is near fine in a very good dust jacket.   There is no writing in this book.   The dust jacket is worn on the edges and is missing small chips at the top and bottom of the spine.   The red color in the dust jacket spine is a little faded.   The picture above shows the spine / front panel / front flap of the dust jacket.   The rear panel is titled "Young Moderns".  (A7-043).       $ 700.00

This book is probably the most beloved children's book with a Florida setting.   In September 2007 ADDALL, the booksearch service, published their list of the most searched for books. The Lion's Paw was again that year the most searched for children's book.   Sixty-one out of sixty-two reviewers on Amazon in 2008 give it five out of five stars.   The other one admitted he hadn't read the book and wondered what all the fuss was about.
